There is nothing like the warmth and beauty
that real wood panels bring to a room. In fine homes throughout
history, wood panels can be found in living rooms, dining
rooms, libraries, family rooms, bedrooms, entry foyers, and
along staircases. Today, they are even being used in kitchens
and bathrooms.
New England Classic® wood
panels represent a major advance over custom-built paneling
systems. Using
standard sizes of wood panels and pre-machined rails and
stiles, a fully integrated system is created that perfectly
matches classic proportions. The system can be easily installed
and is approximately one-third the cost of custom millwork.

Classic Traditional’s raised
panel style first appeared in the 17th century. It
has been incorporated into Colonial, Adam, Georgian,
Federalist, Shingle Style, Queen Anne, and various
revival styles.
Raised paneling is considered the style of choice for the more important
and formal gathering spaces of a building, often encompassing foyers,
libraries, dining and living rooms. In today’s homes, it is also
extensively used in home offices, entertainment centers, and anywhere
the classic raised panel look is desired.

Classic Beadboard traces it’s ancestry to 19th century Victorian,
English Country, Cottage, Folk, and Queen Anne styles. It was associated
with less formal homes and spaces, particularly vacation cottages.
Classic Beadboard is generously used in cottages and vacation homes as
well as foyers, hallways, bathrooms, and other less formal gathering spaces
of primary residences. |

Classic American’s flat or “recessed” panel originated
in the 19th and century and grew to popularity in the 20th century in Shaker,
Mission, Prairie, and Arts and Craft styles.
Classic American is most often used in the major gathering spaces of a
home such as the dining room, living room, foyer and den. It provides a
slightly “simpler” alternative to raised panels. |

Classic Modern captures the smooth, minimalist wall surfaces of the 20th
century Modern and International styles.
ClassicModern style is ideally suited to commercial and institutional spaces,
such as conference rooms, reception areas, public gathering spaces, and
lobbies. It is also a unique choice for homeowners looking for a more urban
contemporary look. |
